1、 Product Overview

AS-BADU-204 is an analog input module manufactured by Schneider Electric, specifically designed for applications such as material handling, packaging, and textile machinery. This module has four channels and supports dual slope integral A/D conversion function, which can convert analog values into 12 digit digital values. AS-BADU-204 is manufactured in France and comes with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric.

2、 Technical specifications

Compatible devices: Two wire+/-500 mV sensor field unit or PT100 four wire resistance temperature detector field device

Power demand: When using an external power supply, it requires 250mA @ 24VDC; When not using an external power supply, the module obtains power from the internal bus.

3、 Functional characteristics

Analog input: AS-BADU-204 has four analog input channels, which can accept analog signals from different sensors.

Digital conversion: By using dual slope integral A/D conversion technology, the analog signal is converted into a high-precision 12 bit digital signal.

Flexible configuration: Each channel can be independently configured to adapt to different sensors and measurement ranges.

Fault diagnosis: The module has an open circuit current loop (broken wire) detection function and issues warnings through LED and accessible registers.

Maintain function: In the event of CPU communication loss, CPU stop, or power outage, the module can be configured to maintain the last value.

4、 Installation and Use

Installation location: Please choose a location away from electrical noise sources (such as motors, transformers, contactors, etc.) for installation.

Cable connection:

Use shielded twisted pair cables, such as Baitong 9418.

Only ground the shielding layer of each signal cable on DAU 204.

At the other end of each signal cable, peel off the shielding layer and isolate it from the signal transmission line.

Power connection: Ensure that the external power supply (if necessary) is correctly connected and meets the power requirements of the module.

5、 LED indicator light

Amber LED: Flashing indicates module failure.

Green LED (top): Illuminates to indicate that the module is ready.

Green LED (per channel): When data is sent through the channel, it stays on or flashes rapidly.

Red LED (per channel): indicates detection of open circuit current loop (broken wire) or high loop impedance (>500 Ω).

6、 Precautions

Do not use this module in the rack without power.

To prevent errors in on-site equipment operation, please follow the specified cable connection and wiring guidelines.
