By using AC 100 OPC Server or AdvaSoft for Windows, the communication interface CI526 can be used to connect to Advant Fieldbus 100. CI526 is an ISA module. CI526 must always have an external modem, either TC625 (for coaxial media) or TC512/TC516 (for twisted pair).To connect Advant OPC Server to Advant Fieldbus 100, the communication interface CI527 can be used. CI527 is a PCI module with integrated twisted pair modems. For connection to coaxial media, TC513 need to be used in a similar way The communication interface - CI869 - is a CEX Module attached to the AC 800M controller that provides connectivity to other nodes on AF 100. The CI869 provides connectivity through twisted pair (TWP) and has integrated twisted pair modem. For connection to coaxial media, TC513 need to be used. The CI869 can be configured as single or redundant, where two CI869s can form a redundant pair.

CI8101 Fieldbus Communication Interface (FCI) 

The CI8101 Fieldbus Communications Interface (FCI) is a communication interface between an Advant Controller connected to the Advant Fieldbus 100 and the S800 I/O modules connected to the Modulebus. The termination board is a unit where most of the external connections terminates. It is grounded to the DIN-rail through a metallic spring connector. The board carries screw terminals for power supply and redundant power supply monitoring, and screw terminals for Advant Fieldbus 100 twisted-pair.The CI820 Fieldbus Communications Interface (FCI) (see Figure 21), is a communication interface between an Advant Controller connected to Advant Fieldbus 100 and the S800 I/O modules connected to the module bus. It is connected to a pair of redundant Twisted Pair cables (physically one to each CI820). The TB815 Connection Unit is used to connect the redundant FCI (CI820) together to a unit and to connect them by a Modulebus cable (TC801) or an Opto Link (optional) to the S800 I/O.

The TB815 Connection Unit distributes 

the signal between the CI820 units, so that both FCI’s get electrical inter-connection to both the redundant twisted pair buses. Figure 22 shows the principle of redundant FCI inter-connection.Each of the redundant twisted pair cable is connected to an FCI unit (CI820) through the connection unit TB815.The Advant Controller 70 station consists of a PM8101 and S800 I/O modules mounted to a DIN-rail. The Advant Controller 70 station can communicate to an Advant Controller 400/110 station through a single or redundant media twisted pair Advant Fieldbus 100 (see Figure 23).
