　My AF 100 Station Status The My AF 100 Station Status hardware unit contains IO channels that are used to populate the status bits in the Station Status CDP. An IO channel in My AF 100 Station Status represents any of the following status: • Active • Severe Error • HW Error • SW error • Peripheral HW error • Process error • Redundancy power A failure • Redundancy power B failure • General station error • General station warning • Unit status Using My AF 100 Station Status is optional. Updating its channels makes the standard station status supervision more informative. For example, AC 100 Connect is able to show a relevant overview of the operation of all stations on the bus. It is recommended to connect the variables that are updated from the IEC 61131 application to the channels of My AF 100 Station Status, so that the status information is presented.

Section 4 Installation and Start-up 

  For Advant Fieldbus 100, three types of media can be used: • Twisted Pair • Coaxial • Optical This section describes the installation and start up of an Advant Fieldbus 100 network. After a configuration is downloaded, the CI869 always sends its Station Status CDP, regardless of whether the My AF 100 Station Status CDP hardware unit is added to the hardware tree or not. All the bits controlled by the IEC 61131 application are set to zero if the My AF 100 Station Status hardware unit is not used. The My AF 100 Station Status hardware unit is always placed at position 4000. It displays the status of the connected CI869.

Modem Installation - General 

  All electrical installation work must be performed in accordance with national safety regulations and the safety rules for the ABB Advant OCS system. The instructions in this section apply to both electrical and optical modems. The modem must be grounded in the same manner as the other units on the same Advant Fieldbus 100. This can be achieved by mounting the units on a mutually conductive base, such as a mounting plate or DIN rail. For information regarding modem installation, refer to the Advant OCS Installation Rules manual. Installing the Network This chapter provides information about the installation of communication interfaces, modems, bus cables, terminators, and so on. For information about the installation of the individual station, except for the aspects that relate to communication, refer to the relevant documentation of the concerned product.
