GE's IS420UCSBH1A is the UCSB controller module in the Mark VIe control system, designed specifically for executing control logic for specific applications. Unlike traditional controllers, UCSB controllers do not directly host application I/O, but communicate with I/O modules through the IONet network to ensure that application input data is not lost even during controller maintenance or repair.

Real time synchronization: Using the IEEE 1588 protocol, the clocks of I/O components and controllers are synchronized to within 100 microseconds through R, S, and T IONet, ensuring high-precision synchronization of the system.
