This parameter defines the start register for floating-point data in the internal database. This parameter is used only if the Float Flag is enabled. For example, if the Float Offset value is set to 3000 and the float start parameter is set to 7000, data requests for register 7000 will use the internal Modbus register 3000. Protocol RTU or ASCII This parameter specifies the Modbus protocol to be used on the port. Valid protocols are: rtu = Modbus RTU and ascii = Modbus ASCII.Parity is a simple error checking algorithm used in serial communication. This parameter specifies the type of parity checking to use. All devices communicating through this port must use the same parity setting.

Minimum Response Delay

This parameter is used only when the port is configured as a slave. It sets the number of milliseconds to wait before responding to a command received on the port from a remote Master. This delay is sometimes required to accommodate slower Master devices. Use CTS Line YES or NO This parameter specifies if the Clear To Send (CTS) modem control line is to be used or not. If the parameter is set to NO, the CTS line will not be monitored. If the parameter is set to YES, the CTS line will be monitored and must be high before the module will send data. Normally, this parameter is required when halfduplex modems are used for communication (2-wire). This procedure is commonly referred to as hardware handshaking.
