The CPU-30SEN-R-501/4 (4 MBytes onboard DRAM) may be upgraded with the FORCE MEM-60/4 memory module. In this way, a total of 8 MBytes of main DRAM memory are available to the CPU-30SEN-R501/4. In the same way, the CPU-30SEN-R-501/16 (16 MBytes onboard DRAM) may be upgraded with the FORCE MEM-60/16 memory module. This provides a total of 32 MBytes of main DRAM memory to the CPU-30SEN-R-501/16. Introduction to VMEPROM

 The VMEPROM firmware is a full multitasking multiuser real-time system. It is stored in the on-board system flash and provides the following functionality: 

• Configuration of the board 

• Starting an application

• Application hooks 

• Shell with over 90 commands 

• Programming of all on-board flash memories Booting up To start VMEPROM, the rotary switches must both be set to F.

Starting a test after booting 

To test the correct operation of the CPU board, the following command must be typed in:The selftest command tests some I/O devices, the main memory and the system timer tick interrupt. Depending on the size of the main memory, it may last a different amount of time. Allow approximately one minute per MByte.
