Power-up Sequence 

The power-up sequence is executed upon power-up or after reset of the SYS68K/CPU-30SEN-R. All steps documented below also apply to the reset case, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Power-up sequence To start VMEPROM both rotary switches on the front panel must be set to ’F’. Any other value will start the user’s application module at address FF00000016 (offset 0 of system flash memory). FGA Boot After power-up the processor retrieves the initial stack pointer and program counter from address locations 016 and 416. These locations are the first 8 bytes of the Boot ROM area where the FGA boot software (called FGA Boot) resides. They are mapped down to address 016 for a defined start. Afterwards, the boot software is executed (see section 10.1 “Boot Sequence” on page 175).
