The transmitter power and the data rate for the SERCOS interface are set with the switch S4. On delivery, the DKC is set to an average transmitter power (-4,5 dBm) and the lowest data rate(2 Mbit/s).  When braking the drive, the rotary energy available in the mechanics is released as regenerative energy in the DC bus of the DKC. It can be • released in the form of heat via the bleeder module or auxiliary bleeder integrated into the DKC - or - • stored as energy in the DKC with a connected auxiliary capacitance module and reused for subsequent acceleration procedures. This reduces the power dissipated in the cabinet, and its own energy consumption is reduced.
