The Motorola MVME162-031 is a VMEbus single-board computer that was introduced in the late 1990s. It is based on the Motorola 68040 processor running at 25 MHz, and features up to 32 MB of DRAM and up to 16 MB of flash memory.
The MVME162-031 also includes a variety of interfaces, such as two serial ports, an Ethernet interface, and SCSI and floppy disk interfaces. It supports a range of operating systems, including VxWorks and Linux.
The VMEbus architecture is a popular bus standard used in embedded computing and industrial control systems. It provides a high-bandwidth, low-latency communication channel between embedded devices and their peripherals. The MVME162-031 is a popular choice for applications such as industrial automation, military systems, and telecommunications equipment.
