DEIF DIM5.1 controller

Following its configuration, a transmitter block (AKS/BKS/ZKS/MKS) accepts the useful data distributed over the AS memory (binary and analog values, character strings) and generates a transmission request, which also contains the addresses of the subsystems which are to receive the request, transmitted by the bus subsystem. Each subsystem must contain a receiver block (AKE, BKE, ZKE, MKE) which is allocated to the transmitter block. This receiver block has been configured so that the relevant useful data and their location in its memory are specified.

PR, PC or OS 26x can access function block parameters (inputs/outputs) in the AS subsystem for read and write operations, independent of the linking functions discussed above and without additional AS 235 configuration. When performing a write access it should be noted that a CHECK routine for parameter check in the AS 235 subsystem only takes place if the message contains only one value (operation parameter). In all other cases values are directly accepted.

Features

 – Low bus load (no internal acknowledgement).

 – Transmission via bus coupler is not possible.

– Addressing of subsystems with a device address between 0 and 31.

– Transmitter blocks (AKS, BKS, ZKS) with block numbers between 1 and 16. Double assignment of the block numbers is not permitted, i.e. it is not possible to assign the same block number to AKS and BKS.

The associated subsystem

(AS, OS, PR) parameterizes the local bus interface for receiving CD messages. This parameterization contains information concerning the validity of a request from a transmitter block residing in a different subsystem for the local subsystem (CD validity list). The N16 parameterization also specifies whether each, every second, fourth or eight CD message sent by a transmitter block is to be accepted (CD selection list) The first transfer element of a CD message is accepted by all bus interfaces connected to the same bus as the transmitter. It contains the device address of the transmitting AS, the transmitter block number and the current state of this transmitter block’s cycle counter. The transmitter block increments the cycle counter by 1 every time a request has been transmitted. The counter assumes the values 0,1...7,0,1,...7,...(modulo 8 count).
