The following malfunctions may occur during this procedure: (KSF = compact process interface with processor): – S 305: Module time–out (QVZ); incorrect address or incorrect jumpers or module is defective
– S 313: Multiple addressing (EANK), incorrect jumper setting (not SIMATIC peripherals)
– S 320: Open–circuit/overflow (AE/ZE blocks)
– S 321: Module malfunction or repeated read error in KSF
– S 322: Fault bit detected in output value (BAU/AA blocks) – S 324: Processing inhibit has been set
Each driver for I/O modules
features a fault output “BGF” (module fault), which is set to “1” if flags/ faults occur during block processing. These malfunctions are indicated by the system messages S 305, S 313, S 321. After the cause of the fault has been eliminated, the fault output”BGF” is reset to “0” during the next driver execution. The BGF output of a driver block with an operator communication block (such as TVB with BRBK as operator communication block) should be interpreted in the higher order operator communication block (the TVB driver has no BGF output). Certain I/O modules mark corrupted values by a fault bit identifier (configuration display:#). Values marked as corrupted are processed in the logic/algorithm such that the result is also marked as corrupted. Output values with a fault identifier are processed separately (BAU, AA) such that the programmer can select whether or not these values will be issued to the process (bit 29 or 30 in GB.ORPA).
Addressing of Input/Output Modules and Drivers
One additional ES 100 K with 2 x 12 I/O modules can be installed in each fully configured cabinet. The AS 235 K compact version provides six I/O slots in the CPU rack (1 to 5 = I/O bus 1, 6 = I/O bus 2). This means that the second I/O bus interface must be installed if the 6th I/O slot of the AS 235 K is to be used. Two interface modules installed in these slots, which link an I/O bus with the ES 100K compact extension subsystem, are used to enhance the number of interfaces accepting I/O modules.
