The common alarms of the individual transducers (digital input module with common alarm) are acquired via an additional digital input module with a common alarm. Only this “group interrupt module” contains a plug–in jumper for interrupts (INT 1). It always has the module number 61 and must be installed in slot 61 of the base unit (I/O bus 1) (cf. Chapter 2.3.6.3).
Analog input module with 8 channels, 6DS1 700 The AE driver can be used for this module; one driver is required for each analog value (= channel). It is also possible to use the 8–channel analog input routing block (AR) as a driver for this module. This block acquires the eight analog values and stores them individually in other blocks for further processing (Fig. 2.23). GA blocks are especially suitable for this purpose. The values may be retrieved from these blocks by function blocks via interconnected inputs. However, the AR driver can also transfer analog values directly to any analog parameter without P code (i.e. which can be written to).
Analog Output Modules
Analog output module with 4 outputs, 6DS1 702 Driver AA is used for this module; one driver is required for each analog value (= channel). Output of analog values with fault code can be suppressed via GB.ORPA.30.The 8–channel binary routing block (BRA) can also be used as module driver. The binary routing block acquires binary values in groups of 8 values per channel. Depending on the module type (32 or 48 binary inputs), 4 or 6 BRA binary routing blocks are required for each module (Fig. 2.25). The individual binary values are stored in the blocks interconnected with the binary inputs GBA1 to GBA8 (target specification). In general, these blocks are GB blocks; any other binary value which can be written to (without P code) may also be specified as storage target.
Binary Input Modules
Binary input module for 16 NO or NC contacts, 6DS1 600 The driver block BU16, which provides binary outputs for interconnection (or E110), is used for this module. Binary input module for 8 changeover contacts, 6DS1 620, or for 8 BEROs, 6DS1 621 The driver block BU8, which provides binary outputs for interconnection, is used for this module. Binary input module for 48 inputs, 6DS1601, or for 32 inputs, 6DS1602 The driver blocks BEI, BRA or E110 can be used for these modules. The blocks can store the binary values for further processing in GB blocks, for example (interconnection in block list),
