The following points must be observed if important reasons require filing to be performed in online mode: Pending I&C fault alarms are not permitted (enter “QF;” for verification). The filed memory contains the current process status of all devices involved. The data is used when operation is resumed after the memory dump has been reloaded. The user must provide for setting defined process states when such a system is restarted. It is expedient to implement these procedures in RESTART programs. They include, for example: Presetting the process image Setting actuators to a defined position Setting closed–loop controller modes, etc.

Time/Date Generation

The central processor has a quartz clock rate of 4.194304 Mhz which is reduced to a time reference of 1/256 s. This basic cycle is used by the microprogram to generate the internal time up to the minute transfer. Time generation from the minute and date generation take place in the operating system. The time offset is typically less or equal to 1.5 min/month. Time (daily minutes, weekly minutes) and date (day counter, year counter) are presented to the user as analog values in GA.ORPA.16–19. The time between 1/256 s and 1 min is generated in the microprogram and is only accessible to the user via the subroutine SYSTEM.ZEIT or SYSTEM.SUBR (cf. Chapter 2.3.7.4).

The timers defined in the GT data block are processed in a 1–second cycle.

The current time value (analog variable) and the current timer status (binary variable) can be processed via interconnection/TML/STEP M. Only the number of timers/GT blocks actually required should be defined, as each timer puts a load on the processor during the 1–second cycle.Time and day must be entered after the system has been switched on, reset or loaded (default value: 01.04.89/00.00.00). The time is buffered during reset when the function RSOF (offline reset) is called.
