NI PXI-2569 Relay module

GT–blocks only contain time variables (timers) by means of which time–dependant functions can be performed. A system–related definition of the GT blocks is required. The GT.1 block is an exception here – this block, with a minimum length of one data element, is always present in the subsystem. It cannot be deleted, only its length redefined. The current status of the time counter value (running/elapsed) can be queried, using STEP/TML instructions. All time counter values >0 are decremented by the subsystem in a 1–second cycle. The subsystem sets the status bit to 1 once the time value zero has been reached.

Since the system sets the status bit only after decrementation has been terminated, the status bit must be set (1B=GTx) when a TML program writes the time counter value 0 into a GT element.

Field Blocks

Field block for double precision analog variables (FA block) FA blocks only contain double precision analog variables (precision 10–9). A system–related definition of the FA blocks is required. In contrast to GA blocks, indexed addressing of FA analog variables in TML programs is possible (e.g. .FA(LA5)).Field block for single precision analog values (FSA block) FSA blocks only contain single precision analog variables (precision 10–4). A system–related definition of the FSA blocks is required.FB–Blocks only contain binary variables. A system–related definition of the FB blocks is required. In contrast to GB blocks, indexed addressing of FB variables in a TML program is possible

Field block for characters (FC block)

FC blocks only contain alphanumeric characters (annotations). A system–related definition of the FC blocks is required. The decimal equivalents of the characters are displayed in a decimal field (.FCI) on the monitor. (Cf. Chapter 5.2.2 for parameterization in the FC block.) One data element consists of 16 characters. In this way, up to 16 data elements can be specified.
