1.An user–specific structure filed on an HD diskette cannot be loaded with AS 230, variant D. 

2. System software D1 and interface module 6AB5102–0AA70 in conjunction with an 80–tracks drive: diskettes with the “normal” and “special” formats can be loaded, but only diskettes with the “special” format can be formatted or filed. By using the current interface module 6DS1326–8BB, only diskettes with the “normal” format can be filed or formatted. 

3. The system software E (requires interface module 6DS1326–8BB) and an 80–tracks drive with version > 4: With GB.ORPA.260 = “1”, the loading of an user–specific structure with the “special” format in the switching position “NORM AUS” is possible. The loading of an user–specific diskette with the “normal” format requires the “NORM EIN” setting. 

4. Regardless whether the system software D or E is used, both system parameters GB.ORPA.260 and GB.ORPA.261 must be parameterized with 0B on an 35–tracks drive.

Communication Establishment via the CS 275 Bus System 

Two communication modes exist in an automation system: a) Receiving operator input messages, I&C alarms and MEL block messages from other AS 235 systems (comparable OS systems). b) Data transfer (analog, binary or alarm data) between different AS systems. Logging on messages ANM,busno,deviceno,value; value: 1 Status words of operator–accessible block (not relevant for AS 235) value: 2 Plaintext of MEL, operator input messages and I&C alarms Logging off messages ABM,busno,deviceno,value; This function can be used together with the device settings (Chapter 5.1.3) for selecting messages which are to be output at a central device.

Setting up a communication link 

A data communication link between blocks AKS/AKE, BKS/BKE, MKS/MKE or ZKS/ZKE is always set up from the receiver end. The receiver block must be selected (A,xKE,no;).  Only numbers between 1 and 4095 are permitted for defining block names. The communication type (CD = common data/DI = direct communication) can be selected by operator input (cf. Chapter 2.3.4). Log on DI mode KD,busno,deviceno,type,bname; Example: KD,0,5,AKS,30; The selected AKE is to be logged on to AKS 30 on bus 0, device 5.
