If the CHECK block is to be executed other than during parameterization and interconnection, a group code in the block header of the data description can be used to call this block in all operator–controllable functions such as definition, display or deletion. The group code is not correlated with the attribute C.After the original parameter record of an existing function block type has been output, previously undefined data elements can be re–defined or corrected using the instruction “EL, ...;“ (cf. Definition and correction of data elements).Re–definition and correction are possible if there are no other function blocks of this type except ORPA, CHECK, PICT or PROG. If further function blocks are present, the “EL,...;“ instruction is rejected and flags are set. A new definition is only possible after the function blocks outside the framing function NEDA have been deleted by “L,type,bname;“
Data organization
The data organization in the automation system makes a distinction between ’managed’ data and data which is directly maintained in the local data record. The location of each individual piece of information is defined under NEDA during data definition and is entered in the block with the internal block number 0 (the data description, see Table 5.3). Four words (8 bytes) are reserved for each data element in the data description.
The block header (Fig. 5.13)
which is also 8 bytes long, contains the internal type number assigned by the system during definition (250 in the example), the type name (TEST), the internal block number (0), the block length in bytes (computed from (number of elements)* 8 + 16 = 25 * 8 + 16 = 216 in the example). The following information is stored for each data element (see Fig. 5.14): – Access OP code of the data element – Field length – Relative address of this data element in ORPA – Code bits – Element name (4 characters)
