Creation of Blocks (Programs) 

Apart from function blocks, there are other blocks which can be distinguished by the fact that they do not possess their own data record. They are: – blocks for initialization functions (RESTART blocks) – blocks for the TML program (PROBLEM blocks) – blocks for the STEP M program (STEP blocks) – blocks for images / logs (LAYOUT blocks) Like programs of user function blocks, these blocks (programs) are defined within the framework set by “NEMO” and “END”.

The following instructions are available in NEMO to define

output, correct and delete the blocks (programs) mentioned above: Block for initialization functions Definition of a RESTART block: D,RESTART,name; name: Name of a block (program) which may be up to four alphanumerical characters long. The name must start with a letter (up to 4080 different initialization blocks can be defined).  Only if keyswitch position 3 has been set on the process communication keyboard. These instructions must be followed by TML instructions (see Chap. 5.7). The RESTART block is automatically executed by the system upon each system start–up. A system start–up takes place upon voltage recovery, when the ZKS key is pressed on the front panel of the CPU or when the codeword ”RSOF;” is entered
