Activating a TML subroutine of the PROBLEM type Automatic parameter transfer: for PICTURE: current data record for LAYOUT: the multiplex parameters of the calling BILD or PROT block in the following sequence: GAX, GBX, GMX, GTX, DSX. The subroutine must use the TAKE instructions to accept the parameters.
Merging TML and BILD/PROTOKOLL programs If the instruction set provided is insufficient for setting up a picture or a log, additional TML programs can be used for support. Programs can be merged in the following ways:The instruction “UP,PROBLEM,name;“ is used in the PICTURE block to activate a TML block of the PROBLEM type.A TML block of the PROBLEM type is assigned to a BILD block (interconnected via parameter 4 “LAYO”): Certain tasks are solved in the PROBLEM block using TML instructions. A LAYOUT block can then be activated by the instruction ”CALL LAYOUT.name;” to set up the actual picture.
Calling a PROBLEM block from a PICTURE block is an interesting application.
Depending on user–specific events, the current LAYOUT block is then activated in this PROBLEM block and displayed on the monitor. Multiple nesting of PROBLEM and PICTURE blocks or LAYOUT and PROBLEM blocks is possible. Parameter transfer between these programs has been defined as follows: The current BILD data record and the multiplex parameters defined there are transferred. The PICTURE or LAYOUT blocks accepts these parameters automatically using instruction D and transfers them automatically using instruction UP.Merging LAYOUT and PROBLEM blocks during log creation in combination with a PROT block is performed in the same manner as for the BILD block. Using the system subroutine SYSTEM.PBIL the PICTURE of a function block can be called from a TML program and be installed in the operator input channel
Correction and test of BILD/PROTOKOLL instructions
During definition of a PICTURE block, the loop display being created is displayed instead of the picture instructions. If this is also required for the definition of a LAYOUT block, the instructions ”BILD,bname;“ or “BILD,ORPA;” can be entered either directly after instruction D or later. The picture or log being created will then be displayed after the next BILD instruction has been entered. A BILD function block must be specified, i.e. the BILD block must be parameterized accordingly, to facilitate reading of the block numbers from possible multiplex instructions. Only the top left–hand quarter of the log page can be displayed during log definition. As the log may be four times the size of the screen, only a section can be shown.
