Correcting, i.e. inserting, replacing or deleting BILD instruction lines is only possible whilst the pictures instructions are displayed. This means a.) during definition of a LAYOUT block without output of the picture or log being created; b.) after the ”K;” instruction; c.) during output of the instruction lines on the screen

After the instruction ”EI,x;” (x = line number before ”DE;”) has been entered, the same procedure applies as in the mode “Definition of a PICTURE/LAYOUT” block, i.e. the loop display being created is re–displayed or the picture/log being created can be called using instructions ”BILD,bname;“ or “BILD,ORPA;”.  The instruction ”BILD,ORPA;“ is only expedient in PICTURE mode since an ORPA exists in this mode only. An error message is issued if this instruction is used in LAYOUT mode, and an address setting with “SET,*;“ has been defined previously.

Principle 

Most of the automation tasks can be solved in the AS 235 system using available standard function blocks. When it comes to logic operations and control tasks, however, the simple STEP M programming language must fill the gaps left by the function blocks. This also applies for picture/log outputs which deviate from the available standard. BILD/PROTOKOLL instructions for PICTURE/LAYOUT blocks can be used in this case. TML (TELEPERM M language) is used for logic operations, computing and control problems for which standard blocks of the STEP M language, which is limited to binary logic only, cannot be used or do not provide optimum results. “Optimum results” means, for example, that a TML solution requires less memory space or shorter execution time than the solution using function blocks or STEP M.
