Log on / Log off 

The code words ANMS and ABMS respectively are used for logging on and off the bus configuration. The system can be logged on from operator position 1 or 2. Further operator inputs from this operator position are transferred to the target AS without a particular check having been performed. Input to the configuring AS is only possible after log off. The key switch must be in position 3 if the configuration keyboard is connected to the process communication keyboard (PBT). Operator input via the process communication keyboard is not permitted after the bus configuration has been logged on

The log on procedure checks

 if the specified device is an AS 235 or an AS 230, variant > E, whether bus configuration has been enabled, and whether there is sufficient storage space in both subsystems. It provides the installation of a buffer, setting up of the connection, changeover of the image output and output of the initialization message:ANMS log on can be disabled in the target automation system by GB.ORPA.273. Log on is rejected if GB 273 = 1B. The configuration AS can be logged on to the target AS if GB 273 = 0B.
