All process control inputs are permitted from the configuring AS provided that they are entered via the configuration keyboard and not via the process communication keyboard. Note: There is no description on the process communication keyboard of the configuration automation system.

The input watchdog timer can respond, due to the long execution time of the functions “DE;” and “AE;” of the NEMO compiler. The message F 494 (no response from target AS) is issued, but has no significance in this context.

Restrictions 

Characters are transmitted without status in order to reduce the bus load during image data transfer. Output is only black–and–white without the blinking, color or inversion features of the original picture. The image is updated in a fixed 2–second cycle. A process communication keyboard may remain connected to the operator position of the configuring AS, but it cannot be used or reset. Input blocking may occur as there is no automatic dynamic re–assignment of the key groups via the bus. The keyswitch must be set to authorization level 3 if a process communication keyboard has been connected.

Bus load during capital configuration 

In order to be safe, the configuring engineer allows a bus load of 5% for central configuration, loading and filing. The following details apply: – Basic bus load during central configuration The basic bus load during central configuration mainly results from image updating via the bus, and is less than 5%. Configuration instructions can be negociated, their contribution to the bus load is insignificant. – Bus load during central filing The maximum bus load during loading/filing is approximately 12%.
