Effect of central loading/filing on an operator communication and monitoring system (OS) connected to the bus Neither increased cyclic bus load (up to 80%) nor additional loading/filing via the bus influences the OS image setup time. This means that the image setup time in the operator communication and monitoring system is caused by internal computing activities, and does not depend on the bus load.  During phases of short–term bus overload, which may be caused by simultaneous bus configuration in several automation systems, curve representation failures of the OS may occur.

The following error codes are used for bus configuration: F 402: Memory area in configuring AS is too small F 434: Diskette has already been loaded F 435: Memory area in target AS is too small F 436: Target AS has already been linked to other configuring AS F 437: Bus output has been passivated F 438: Target is not an AS 235 / AS x88 F 439: Bus configuration is already running F 494: No response from target AS/time–out F 495: Target AS disabled for central configuration

Configuring of TELEPERM ME I/O Modules via Bus 

5.11.6.1 Summary The function “Configuring of TELEPERM ME I/O modules” enables the configuring, loading and storing of TELEPERM ME I/O modules to be carried out by a PC or PG via AS 235. The AS 235 requires a local bus interface for data transfer, and a vacant memory of at least 300 byte. The configuring of the TELEPERM ME I/O modules is activated by means of a PC or PG. Logging– on is handled like bus configuring and can be disabled by means of the switch GB.ORPA.273 = 1B. Whilst TELEPERM ME I/O modules are being configured, it is not possible to configure this AS or to configure another AS using this AS.
