Prerequisites The following requirements must be satisfied to enable module configuring 

– Version of system software > G01.00

 – Vacant user RAM > 300 Byte, memory is enabled again 

– Local bus interface module N8/N–AS – No operating console disable for bus configuring 

– Configurable I/O modules starting at slot > 1 

– Software for PC/PG for configuring of TELEPERM ME modules (STRUK AS 220 EA version > 7.0) 

– Connection via local bus interface module N–AT

Operation 

The configuring software of the PC or PG is logged on for configuring the TELEPERM ME I/O modules. A positive acknowledgement is sent to the configuring software if the bus configuring is not disabled by GB.ORPA.273 and if configuring is not currently being carried out via the bus, and the bus operating console of the AS is disabled for further bus configuring. A disabled list is generated in the AS by this logging–on in order to protect non–configurable TELEPERM M I/O modules. All module numbers of defined driver blocks for non–configurable I/O modules are identified as being disabled in this list.

The positive acknowledgement contains 

the following 27 characters in ASCII format and is displayed by the configuring software in the PC or PG:Following reception of the acknowledgement, the configuring software must send an operation for module configuring to the AS 235 within 15 minutes, otherwise the link is disconnected again. Every operation resets the timer. The configuring software is logged off again at the end of the module configuring, and the interlock for bus configuring is cancelled.
