Signalling on the control station Control stations for closed–loop 

control modules I/O error messages waiting on closed–loop control modules are indicated on the relevant control stations as group message via LEDs (2 Hz blinking light). Control stations for individual control modules I/O error messages waiting on open–loop 

control modules are indicated on the relevant control stations as group message via LEDs (2 Hz blinking light). In addition, the end position errors S 17 and S 18 are shown as an individual message via LEDs on the control station (control module messages).

Signalling on the driver

 I/O error messages waiting on I/O modules are provided as binary outputs of the circuit–related driver blocks (cf. I/O error message summary list). In addition, each driver features a module fault output BGF used for signalling fault states which have been detected by the driver. A common I/O error message in an operator–controllable driver is set as code bit in the block status word. Error S 80 is set as independent code bit in the status word (cf. status word description). This enables TELEPERM M configuration aids (such as MEL or MKS blocks, MELD function package etc.) to process data in the AS 235 system or in central systems.

Signalling on the monitor

 AS 235 operator station I/O error messages waiting in an operator–controllable driver (driver in normalized representation) are output on the operator station monitor in addition to the binary outputs. As for process alarms, the information is displayed as a common alarm (blinking mark) in the area message field (BR  ) of all AS 235 images.
