ABB PFEL113 controller

Time Synchronization The AS 23x can only receive time message frames.

The following devices can act as transmitters:

1. N clock (synchronization every 10 seconds)

2. Process computer (synchronization every 2 hours)

3. OS 265–3/OS 525 (synchronization every minute) The message frame contains the current data and the time with a resolution of one millisecond. The message frame is processed directly on the bus processing level (PU7).

User Interfaces

The system provides three user interfaces (STAT.MEAP, STAT.BEAP, STAT.STAP) which are filled by the system and may be read by the user program. These interfaces, which are cyclic buffers, contain complete message frames as they arrive via the bus interface. All buffers are built up in the following structure:The buffer length can be modified via GA.ORPA which enables a better processing of peak activities. The GA numbers are located in the buffer description after the number location. The table shows the standard minimum length (default value). Changes are only possible by filing and subsequent loading; i.e. the system must be saved and reloaded after the GA locations have been modified.

A system subroutine (SYSTEM.PZEI) is provided for pointer administration (Chapter 2.3.7.4).

The following rules apply:

 1. Only the system can modify the write pointer.

2. The parameters .MAX, .LGP and .LP may not be changed

3. The number of lost message frames is entered in the flag word (incremented)

4. All other parameters may only be read (only the system subroutine PZEI can write).

The useful data in a message frame starts with the bus/device number of the generating subsystem. The bus is in the left–hand byte and the device number is in the right–hand byte of the word. Message frames of the local subsystem are identified by the bus/device number 4095.
