TheD command deletes the line currently being edited. For example, if the editor is at line number 2 andD is applied, line 2 will be deleted. The previous line number 3 is now renumbered as line number 2.Q TheQ quits the editor mode. In response, the DMC-18x2 will return a colon. After the Edit session is over, the user may list the entered program using the LS command. If no operand follows the LS command, the entire program will be listed. The user can start listing at a specific line or label using the operand n. A command and new line number or label following the start listing operand specifies the location at which listing is to stop.  

Program Format 

A DMC-18x2 program consists of DMC-18x2 instructions combined to solve a machine control application. Action instructions, such as starting and stopping motion, are combined with Program Flow instructions to form the complete program. Program Flow instructions evaluate real-time conditions, such as elapsed time or motion complete, and alter program flow accordingly. Each DMC-18x2 instruction in a program must be separated by a delimiter. Valid delimiters are the semicolon (;) or carriage return. The semicolon is used to separate multiple instructions on a single program line where the maximum number of characters on a line is 80 (including semicolons). A carriage return enters the final command on a program line.

Using Labels in Programs

 All DMC-18x2 programs must begin with a label and end with an End (EN) statement. Labels start with the pound (#) sign followed by a maximum of seven characters. The first character must be a letter; after that, numbers are permitted. Spaces are not permitted. The maximum number of labels which may be defined is 254. The above program moves X and Y, 10000 and 20000 units respectively. After the motion is complete, the motors rest for 2 seconds. The cycle repeats indefinitely until the stop command is issued.
