You are not required to manage the AT-8000 Series Fast Ethernet Switch. The default switch settings may be sufficient for your network, in which case you can use the unit as an unmanaged switch. For the switch’s default settings, refer to AT-S39 Management Software User’s Guide

The RS-232 Terminal Port 

has a DB-9 female connector and uses a straight-through RS-232 cable (not provided). The default settings for the RS-232 Terminal Port are: ‰ Baud rate: Auto-detect (range 1200 to 115200 bps; default 9600 bps) ‰ Data bits: 8 ‰ Parity: None ‰ Stop bits: 1 ‰ Flow control: None Note These default settings are for a DEC VT100 or ANSI terminal, or an equivalent terminal emulation program.
