Check that the operating specifications (e.g., wavelength and maximum operating distance) of the fiber optic port on the end-node are compatible with the operating specifications of the fiber optic port on the media converter. 

Refer to “Fiber Optic Port Specifications” on page 20 for information.

 If there is a communication problem between the end-nodes connected to the media converter, do the following: ❑ Verify that both end-nodes are operating with the same duplex mode.
