Protective Earth Terminal 

Power GND (ST1 26z,b,d) must be connected with the protective earth terminal. Control unit and amplifier must have an equal potential. The equalized potential must be realized by a single connection between control unit and amplifier (ST1 26z,b,d). This connection should be a sufficiently strong line. The conductor cross section should at least correspond to that of the motor line, however, should not be smaller than 1.5mm2 . As in the amplifier Power GND (ST1 26z,b,d), GND (ST1 18z and ST1 16z) and GND-REF (ST1 4z) are connected, no further terminal must be connected with control GND, to avoid ground loops.
