Products are widely used in metallurgy, petroleum, glass, aluminum manufacturing, petrochemical industry, coal mine, papermaking, printing, textile printing and dyeing, machinery, electronics, automobile manufacturing, tobacco, plastics machinery, electric power, water conservancy, water treatment/environmental protection, municipal engineering, boiler heating, energy, power transmission and distribution and so on.
The purpose of this chapter is to provide guidelines for reflash of executive software used in the processor. Executive software can be obtained on the Schneider web site at www.schneiderautomation.com by selecting the appropriate Firmware location. The ASP890300 executive software is resident in flash RAM and may be updated as required. Reflash requires a PC with an available serial port and loaded with Schneider panel software. Concept contains utilities that may be used. Versions of ProWORX and Modsoft that support 800 series I/O contain reflash utilities.Cables that may be used to connect the panel PC serial port to the ASP890300 ASCII port 1 are: z AS-W952-012 Programming Cable, 12’ z 990NAA26320 Programming Cable, 12’ z 990NAA26350 Programming Cable, 50’
Use the Direct MB Device selection. The address used should be that selected by the ASP890300 address rotary switches. If connected to a Modbus network, insure there are no address conflicts. Set the communication parameters to those listed above per the mode selection, either RTU or ASCII, and perform the normal executive software loading procedure.
This chapter covers the installation requirements necessary to maintain compliance with the European Directive for EMC 89/336/EEC for certain 800 Series I/O system components. The majority of 800 Series I/O components are approved per these requirements; however, examine your particular product/shipping carton for the CE mark to ensure approval.
The module may be reinserted into the system backplane and powered. It may also be flashed on the bench, e.g. plugged into a spare non-system backplane and powered on. After power is turned on, the Comm Active LED (third from the top) will blink 9 times, then pause, blink 9 times and pause, etc. This indicates the module is in kernel mode and ready to be flashed. At a time when system operation can be interrupted, turn off power to the ASP890300 and other supplies in the affected drop. Ensure the ASP890300 front panel power switches are in the OFF position.
The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System consists of: One 3300 XL 8 mm probe, One 3300 XL extension cable1, and One 3300 XL Proximitor* Sensor2. The system provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor* reference and speed measurements3. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-metre system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard (4th Edition) for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components. Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component is backward-compatible and interchangeable4 with other non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too large for the available mounting space6,7.
