SEF M21.1 Relay input module

  The non-procedure protocol enables message communication with devices from other manufacturers using any protocol. Data in consecutive M registers in the MP2000 Series Machine Controller is sent and received without modification. The SEF M21.1 sends the data from the specified M registers without modification. There is no response. The SEF M21.1 stores the received data without modification in the M registers specified in the SEF M21.1. It does not return a response. Thus, the non-procedure protocol sends data in just one direction without a response. The non-procedure protocol is not based on command-response communication. It is thus necessary to make a user program in which sending and receiving are switched to perform command-response communication. The size of data that can be sent or received in non-procedure communication mode is from 1 to 510 words.

 The MODBUS/TCP protocol enables communication with devices of other manufacturers that support the MODBUS/ TCP protocol. In communication between an MP2000 Series Machine Controller and a device that supports the MODBUS/TCP, the SEF M21.1 Module automatically converts the protocol to the MODBUS/TCP protocol. The MSG-SND and MSG-RCV functions can be used in a user program in the same way as with the MEMOBUS protocol.
