If data is continuously received using the same connection, set a data send interval for remote devices that is longer than the cycle for which the MSG-RCV function can read data into the user application.
If the 842E-CM-MIP3BA Module receives the next data before reading the data into the user application using the MSGRCV function, the old data will be overwritten with the most recent data. This is because there is only one reception buffer per connection in the protocol stack application layer* (non-procedure) in the 218IF-01 Module.
For the MSG-RCV function, at least two scans are required after data reception has been completed until the next time data reception starts. Asynchronous processing is performed between the 842E-CM-MIP3BA Module and the MSG-RCV function, and so at least two scans are required if the scan cycle is shorter than the operation cycle of the 842E-CM-MIP3BA Module. As a rough guide, set a data send interval of at least two scans of the execution scan cycle of the MSG-RCV function at the sending device if the execution scan cycle of the MSG-RCV function is 6 ms or longer. Set a data send interval of 12 ms or longer at the sending device if the execution scan cycle of the MSG-RCV function is 5 ms or shorter. The operation cycle of the 842E-CM-MIP3BA Module depends on the communication load of the Module. If the communication load is large, adjust the data send interval to an appropriate time. * Seven Layers for OSI Reference Model
