Mounting and Removing the BL20-16DI-24VDC-P Module When replacing an existing module or mounting a new one, follow the instructions given in this chapter. When removing the module, the connector board remains in the HIMax base plate. This saves additional wiring effort since all field terminals are connected via the connector board of the module

Wiring Inputs Not in Use 

Inputs that are not being used may stay open and need not be terminated. To prevent short-circuits in the field zone, never connect a wire to a connector board if it is open on the field side.
