REXROTH MSM030C-0300-NN-M0-CG1 Voltage module

Termination resistors are provided by the MSM030C-0300-NN-M0-CG1 to terminate the ends of the transmission line(s). Termination is used to reduce reflections on a transmission line. Reflections are due primarily to capacitive loading. Proper termination becomes increasingly important as baud rate and line length increases.

Other types of networks include those with a single transmitter and multiple receivers and those with a single receiver and multiple transmitters . Both types of these networks are commonly used where there is one controlling device (master) and several devices being controlled (slaves). This network allows full duplex operation over two pairs of twisted-pair wire. Figure 2-9 on page 33 shows two MSM030C-0300-NN-M0-CG1 being used as simple line drivers. Control of the RS-232 RTS signal is not required in this application.
