The ABB NINT-68 has to be mounted in a major system. Depending on the degrees of IP-protection, an interval for cleaning the equipment (dust settlement) has to be defined. Strict care has to be taken that only such equipment is installed that complies with the types of protection relevant to the applicable zones and categories. When installing the equipment, the locally applicable rules on erection, e.g. EN 60079-14, have to be observed. 

Other important facts to be observed: 

• In all zones, the circuits of the positioner have to be put into service by a person qualified according to NINT-68. The details on the type label are mandatory for doing this.
